ECON GmbH is one of the few manufacturers of gas-tight granulate dryers. These are used in particular in PA6 (Polyamide 6) manufacture in a nitrogen atmosphere. With this special version of our granulate dryer we use a gas-tight motor and a completely gas-tight housing so that no gases can escape during the entire production process.

For production plants where the surrounding air may contain ignitable gases, we are also in a position to supply explosion-protected granulate dryers. In this version we use an explosion-protected motor as well as completely explosion-protected electrics.

For the drying of abrasive plastics e.g. ones filled with glass, we offer various levels of protection from wear. From the cover in a high-grade steel design via a reinforced rotor design in 1.4462 material to the coating of all parts in contact with the product with tungsten carbide.

The infeed housing is one of the most important components of the granulate dryer. Some customers have a great deal of process water, others have little. The granulates are often very light or they can only be fed into the granulate dryer with a worm gear. We can also adapt to different spatial conditions. In the case of very restricted space, we can adapt to a very low infeed area with our infeed housings.
