Granulate dryers of types 360 D, 470 D, 530 D and DHL 725 have a throughput rate of 500 kg/hr to 10,000 kg/hr. The transmission power in each case is between 1.5 and 7.5 kW. All our granulate dryers impress with their compact design and solid construction. The housing and cover are made of solid cast aluminium. The rotor and the separating sieve body, which is enclosed and quick and easy to remove, are made of high-quality high-grade steel. The granulate dryer cover can be assembled in 30° sections and thereby ensures a versatile granulate outlet to suit every process requirement. We make the granulate/water infeed with various infeed variants, each entirely to our customers’ requirements. All our dryers have direct drive and thereby guarantee maintenance-free operation. |

RANGES OF APPLICATION
Our granulate dryers have been developed to drain and dry synthetic granules. It is suitable to collect the surface humidity of grained materials, such as synthetic granules and ground stock. Depending on the temperature, the size and the structure of the product, our granulate dryers dry to a residual surface humidity between 0.01 and 0.5 % in weight. These values are higher in case of ground stock.
OPERATION
The granules/water mixture is supplied to the drying chamber through the inlet case, which is incorporated as a sieve in the bottom. The granules are collected in the drying chamber by a rotor equipped with blades and are spirally conveyed upward through the sieve basket. The water is collected by bouncing and rolling the granules frequently on the sieve basket. The dried product leaves the dryer in the airflow through the tangentially arranged nozzle on the dryer top cover. The water outflow takes place through an outlet in the bottom of the housing or in the housing side.
